CaraData specialises in the development of software solutions for the data management and surveillance of Sexual Health, Communicable diseases, HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis C, Reproductive Health, Needle and Syringe, General Practice and Occupation Risk Exposure.

SHIP was first designed in 1992, since then the demand has grown and the product is being further developed and enhanced to become a complete electronic patient record system. SHIP has benefited more than 70 clinics worldwide. The program provides an extensive medical record offering support to both clinical and administrative staff to assist in the daily recording of patient information, test results, visits, treatments and diagnosis.

SHIP can provide accurate information for reporting to Data Surveillance and Health Department requirements. CaraData's latest product SHIPWeb will enable clinicians to access client information from outreach clinics. SHIPWeb will expand the data sharing to link Sexual Health/HIV, Family Planning Clinics and General Practice for an agreed set of client data.

In 2005 CaraData opened a support and marketing office in Dublin, to assist with the company's entrance into the European market. CaraData has a proven record in the Healthcare Industry for over 18 years to provide a comprehensive and user friendly solution on a global level. In October 2009 SHIP was installed in our first NHS clinic in the UK.

CaraData's software is fully customisable and all clinics benefit from new developments made. Development is on going, as new clinics are added to our Client list, and provide input to the SHIP system. These new developments are offered to our existing Clinics. The SHIP system will meet all recognised information handling standards including guidelines and privacy expectations of the general public.
